A comic reflecting on the rolling crises of the devastating 2019–2020 Australian bushfires, followed by coronavirus restrictions and the months-long pandemic lockdown in Melbourne, Victoria. And how despite the overwhelming hugeness of the disruptions, stress and loss of life — turning my focus to small local pockets of life, resilience, kindness and mutual-support was a lifeline and a way to maintain agency, connectedness and hope.
This comic will be published in the 2021 anthology* “Covid Chronicles” by Graphic Mundi of Penn University Press.
